令和５年５月２９日、中谷総理大臣補佐官は、ヨハネス・ファン・デル・クラウーＵＮＨＣＲバングラデシュ代表及びアラファト・ジャマールＵＮＨＣＲグローバル難民フォーラム・コーディネーターと面会しました。
　両者は、ロヒンギャ避難民の人権状況及び日本の支援、並びに「第２回グローバル難民フォーラム」について意見交換を行いました。
　また、両者は、今後も国際的な人権問題について、日本政府とＵＮＨＣＲとの間で緊密に協力していくことで一致しました。

　On May 29, 2023, Special Advisor NAKATANI met with Mr. Johannes Van der Klaauw, UNHCR Representative in Bangladesh and Mr. Arafat Jamal, Coordinator for the Second Global Refugee Forum.
　They exchanged views on the human rights situation of the Displaced Rohingya Population in Bangladesh and Japan's assistance to them, as well as on the Second Global Refugee Forum.
　They also shared the intention to continue close cooperation between the Government of Japan and UNHCR on international human rights issues.
