令和４年３月１８日、中谷総理大臣補佐官は、アダムズ駐日豪州大使と面会しました。

両者は、世界における人権の保護・促進に向けた取組や「ビジネスと人権」について意見交換を行いました。

両者は、自由、民主主義、人権、法の支配といった普遍的価値を共有する日豪が、「自由で開かれたインド太平洋」の実現に向けて、緊密に連携することの重要性を確認しました。

また、両者は、今後も国際人権問題について日・豪間で緊密に協力していくことで一致しました。

On March 18 2022, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister Mr NAKATANI Gen held a meeting with H.E. Mrs. Jan Adams AO PSM, Ambassador of Australia to Japan.

Both sides exchanged views on efforts to protect and promote human rights in the international community, as well as ways to promote Business and Human Rights.

Both sides affirmed the importance of Japan and Australia, which share universal values such as freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law, working closely together to achieve a "Free and Open Indo-Pacific."

Both sides also shared the intention to continue to cooperate closely on international human rights issues between Japan and Australia.
