令和４年２月１７日１７時から約５０分間、中谷総理大臣補佐官は、イーモン・ギルモアEU人権担当特別代表(H.E. Mr. Eamon Gilmore, EU Special Representative for Human Rights)とオンラインで意見交換しました。会議には、パトリシア・フロア駐日EU代表部大使も参加しました。

両者は、世界における人権の保護・促進に向けた取組や「ビジネスと人権」に関する取組について、率直な意見交換を行いました。

また、両者は、今後も国際人権問題について日・EU間で緊密に協力していくことで一致しました。

On February 17, 2022 commencing at 17:00 p.m. for approximately 50 minutes, Special Advisor to the Prime Minister NAKATANI Gen exchanged views online with H.E. Mr. Eamon Gilmore, EU Special Representative for Human Rights. H.E. Dr. Patricia Flor, Ambassador of the EU to Japan, also participated in the meeting.

Both sides had a frank exchange of views on efforts to protect and promote human rights in the international community, as well as ways to promote Business and Human Rights.

Both sides also shared the intention to continue to cooperate closely on international human rights issues between Japan and the EU.
